



Loro Parque is home to the pygmy hippopotamus Adela. Considered one of nature's great mammals, originally from Africa, the pygmy hippopotamus (Choeropsis Liberiensis) is characterised by its small size, measuring between 75 and 83 centimetres in height and between 150-177 centimetres in length, weighing between 180 and 275 kilos.
